National Institute of Government Purchase (NIGP) Codes The District's Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) identifies and purchases necessary goods and services by commodity codes known as National Institute of Government Purchase codes or NIGP codes. Certified Business Enterprises (CBEs) are advised to review in detail all NIGP codes applicable to their businesses. District government agency buyers conduct query searches for certified CBEs by their NIGP codes. Notice of solicitations will be matched based on the primary NIGP codes provided by the certified CBE and listed in the database.
